Have you ever been upset with an s/o and he or she goes and asks someone else for advice and that person says something so bad about you that your s/o believes and it isn't true? Please do share your stories, but only if you feel comfortable doing so.

If my partner chose to believe someone else over me then we don't have much of a relationship.

hs my bf and i had an argument, i asked a friend about it and she told me that another girl had been pretty much doing stuff w him. i asked her where she heard about it and she said the girl was bragging to her. i found the girl who was bragging and talked to her [this girl was an acquaintance of mine] and she told me the same thing. i asked my bf about it because i was really angry. he told me she was lying. after about 3 days of fighting w him and the girl who was bragging, he confronted her for lying...long story short she was a liar but the bf and i broke up later for other reasons

Yes. My husband asked his sister. She is of "doom and gloom" and follies in bad stuff that happens to others, almost as if it makes her feel better about herself. Her advice stunk and almost as if she hoped it would lead to our demise. I don't understand her since I have never done anything to her. Obviously he, my hubby, felt torn between us both. ugh. I have to try to let it roll off my back...work in progress actually.

Oh man yes, I've had S/Os and they would go and ask my roomate and former friend for advice, she would be so off the mark and I'd always have to go back and straighten it out later.
