Have you ever downrated someone in order to get the "Top Answer" on a question?

I don't think I have never done this before. Top answers that deserve to be top answers should stay there, and just because another answer that may not be the best should be the top answer at all.

Never, in fact I rarely get top answer due to the inflammatory nature of many of my answers, most people keep a healthy distance and let it lay. Tis otay by me. Why would I downrate anyone? Everyone has a point of view, I'd rather debate than downrate.

I haven't. Even when I feel an answer needs to be downrated, I don't if I can see that it would put me on top. I'd feel guilty.

Nope. Even if I was like that, having the "Top Answer" does nothing special. I am glad that AB does not reward top answers. If points were awarded for top answers there would be all sorts of mess... kind of like there is at Yahoo Answers, in fact. :)

lol no I couldn't tell you if any of my answers ever made the top answer. I tend to forget them as quickly as I answer them.

No I dont DR anyone, thought it just clicked thats probably why the last thing to increase when we get new levels is the - for answers. Oh how wise the AB staff are.

I have never down rated anyone yet. I've wondered this myself...if I got DR'ed because of something personal or immature.
