  • I dont think they are too old. I don't know why they wouldnt live together and I defintely know that they're personality will not change. They may act a little odd when you first get them fixed but it's nothing out of the ordinary! Good luck :)
  • Getting them fixed will be the best thing for them, especially the female. If you don't get her fixed she has a 85% chance of getting uterine cancer, and other cancers with females. Plus the only thing that might change is they will be mellow for sure, and won't have those hormones and testosterone going. And make sure you introduce them about a month after surgery, it takes that long to get there hormones and tetosterone out of their systems, plus you should make sure you introduce them slowly so you won't have any fighting going on, you need to take time to bond them. Go to rabbit.org and look up bonding rabbits, it will help, and you won't have injured bunnies.
  • NO, they are not too old. Maybe if they were over 4 years old, that would be a bit old. They shouldn't be together right away. It's usually best to keep the buck away from any doe until 2 weeks after just to be on the safe side as he still may be able to reproduce. As for her safety. I would want to be sure she is all well and healed before placing her with another rabbit. As to personality change, it isn't anything drastic other than those big hormone type problems being mostly gone though they take a while to change since they have to dissipate their hormones they may have left. I think they get friendlier and more people oriented.
