Well, we have been studing the holocaust for over a month at school, and no he hasn't killed anyone himself because he thought he was to good to be in a situation like that, which is why he never visited the concentration camps.

I would imagine he would have had to, considering he did serve in WWI the rank ofCcorporal and did receive the Iron Cross, which is the highest merit of honor in the German Army. He did see combat. He was in WWI.
