  • I felt really sick the first month or so on them, very queasy in the few hours after i took them (so i started taking them before bed so it wouldn't matter). After I'd been on them a while, it felt like i got mood-swingy when i was *off* them.
  • I started Cryselle 2 months ago. Since then I've broken out in severe acne on my chin line, MAJOR mood swings, I mean like suicidal thoughts and raging anger and a touch of paranoia with EVERYONE. I was on low-ogesterel for years w/out problems so I'm not sure if this is because of the Cryselle. Their supposed to be the same med. I'm calling dr. today though because I have no idea what could've triggered me into some unstable, insane person. Cryselle is the only thing I've taken and my symptoms started when I started taking it. I'm looking to see if anyone else had these problems too. I hope so then I'll know I'm not losing it.
  • I was originally on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for my birth control, but after I had severe premenstrual symptoms my OBGYN switched me to Cryselle. Since then my breasts have been swollen and painful, I have felt nauseated, and I feel like I'm gaining weight. Has anyone else experienced this?
  • WORSE BIRTH CONTROL EVER.... i feel like crying all day and like i swalled gallons of water. hate it
  • I've taken Cryselle for the past two months after switching from Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo because of breakthrough bleeding. So far, it's been great. I haven't experienced any nausea; no increase in acne or weight gain (I gained about five pounds while on Ortho Lo); no bad mood swings--just the usual premenstrual emotional stuff (the need to cry more than usual, getting mad over little things), although I'm usually pretty good at dealing with that kind of thing anyway. THE THING TO REMEMBER: Birth control pills work differently for everyone. One that might be great for your best friend may be horrible for you. I was on Yaz (which is supposed to be the "Holy Grail" of BCPs)for a total of about five months. The first few months were great, but the last two were HELL. I was NOT myself--I got upset over the littlest thing, and I was crying all the time. Bottom line? There are tons of pills out there, and you may have to work with your doctor for a while before you find one that works for you.
  • Just started taking this birth control, my only issue is I have just started breaking out more than usual on my chin. I started taking this for irregular bleeding and a functional cyst. Considering the acne is my only issue I decided to stick with it a bit longer.
