I think seeing my own heart beat with my chest wide open would be equivalent to going back in time and seeing myself. I'd flip!

I'd like to watch. But they would knock me out. I would have too many questions. I wanna know what is going on.

There is no way I'd want to be awake. Even if I couldn't feel a thing, I would not want to be awake!

I would want to just be knocked out. The last thing I want is to have to hear the doctor say "oops!" or watch as they are using the drill to take a piece of my skull off, or cracking my ribs open to get at my heart, etc.

When I was 13 I had to have surgery on my arm. The night before the anaesthesiologist said that they could either put me totally asleep. Or give me a shot of local anesthetic and give me drugs to make me sleepy. I asked if I would be able to watch the surgery. When he told be I couldn't I said then knock me out!

Not on myself, it would make me flinch away from the surgeon. On someone else I find surgery very interesting!

If they could put me out for a teeth cleaning I'd do it! So for surgery, BAMM knock me out! But I'd for sure watch it if theyd type it for me.

I've seen enough surgeries on other people. Put me the hell out! :-)
