Why are we so anti-age? Shouldn't the inevitable be embraced?

Anti-aged? I am not anti-aged, I love the aged.

The older you get, (in theory) the smarter you get. The less you're likely to spend stupidly large amounts of money on things you don't need, and naturally this doesn't sit well with most marketing firms. So they spend all of their public relations money on making us want to stay young and hate age bitterly.

It could be partly because there are more old people than there used to be, so it's like supply exceeding demand.

I've often wondered this myself. We need to realize that we're not immortal. There's nothing wrong with not being young forever.
