Based on the error message, I would hazard a guess that the [acropdf.dll] file is for Acrobat Reader's PDF file format, and your browser is having trouble with it. If the link you're clicking on leads to a PDF file, you're getting the error because you either don't have Acrobat Reader or it's corrupted.
Just an educated guess, but a guess nonetheless. Have a techie friend take a look at it for you. Or google "error acropdf.dll in Internet Explorer" to get further help.
Go to Control Panel --> Internet Opetions--> Advanced Tab. Uncheck "Enable Third party browser Extensions".
make sure download latest flash player, shockwave player, and java
Also stay with IE7 for now, do not change to IE8 yet it has to many bugs in it yet

have tried tools/int.opts/gen.tab/delete cookies ticked mark/ok/ but have to manually remove cookies under the hood.missing a step pl guide

You're reading When at a web site and I click on a link in that web site I get this error and have to start over. Internet explorer has encountered a problem and has to close. Error signature App name iexplorer, app ver 6.0.2900.2180,mod name acropdf.dll, mod ver 7.0.9.
