I would rather walk a few blocks, unless I need the money right away or unless, it is more than $100, which is an amount that I would not want to lose walking down the street. However, when I go to the ATM, I always drive, so driving to the next machine is usually economical enough the it is worth the trip. Where I live there are ATM's all over the place.

When i'm travelling overseas I regularly make huge onfoot journey's to my bank's ATM to avoid those nasty charges, plus you get to have a mini-adventure while you're at it. At home though I'm usually content to use the first one I see, because charges are pretty tiny.

I would just pay and go!! Actually, knowing me, I would only go to the ATM that I got charged the least to begin with....LOL

Depends on the weather. If it's a nice evening, I'm definitely up for a stroll. If it's cold or raining, I'm staying put.

I look at this way: Exercise, especially walking, is good for us all. I would rather walk a few blocks and save two dollars and fifty cents than to keep those calories on myself and be down 2.50, and for what reason? Unnecessary fees? No, thanks. I need my money and my exercise and I choose to walk. Sometimes, if I'm feeling lazy, I'll go ahead and pay it, but more often than not, I'm doing that walking!
