  • It's not. Nowhere in the scriptures it says that Jesus cannot marry. What makes the notion bad is because IT SIMPLY NOT TRUE. Nowhere in the scriptures (Bible to those who are not familiar) it is written that Jesus ever married. The Gospel writers went to the extent of mentioning his brothers by name and sisters. It would simply be impossible and inconsistent for the writers not to put the name of the wife of Jesus if he married. That (marriage) is just too significant to ignore.
  • It seems to me that Jesus, as a God who tells us "ye should be perfect even as I, or your Father who is in heaven is perfect" wants us to live as he did himself. (3 Nephi 12 : 48 So if his Prophets teach us the doctrine of eternal marriage, I think that it absolutely probable that He, as well as Our Heavenly Father were and are married since they are Eternal Beings.
