  • Government regulation.
  • for both schools you have to pay to be educated there. public school- open to anyone in the public private school- specially selected people only
  • oh wow. what a loaded question. in cost to you... a lot of $. Some people say that private schools are "better" than public schools because they have a lower student to teacher ratio and thus, the students are able to learn better with less distractions. However, my personal opinion is that if a child stays in private school throughout his/her school career, they miss out on some key interpersonal interaction with diverse groups of people of all ages. Also they could lack development in personal conflict areas. I think that private schools in a child's early years is useful in obtaining a solid focus on academics . After elementary grades, on this foundation, public school would only test and strengthen what the child has learned. More importantly, parental involvement is the most essential part of a child's in-school progress. a parent should find out whats going on with their children through the teachers that teach them as well as with their kids; to get both points of view. Stay involved, ask questions, and double check your work!!
  • the difference is anywhere from 10 to 60 grand a year.
  • Public schools are generally funded by government funds (which are generated from taxes) and are generally cheaper that privately funded schools. As far as educational standards go public U.S. schools are at par, if not better that private schools.
  • you have to pay for private school. they might have to wear uniforms but i think that they teach all the same
  • Well where I was public was like any one could go and private was considered a catholic school. I have been to both and I perfer Catholic school, I am not Catholic myself but I do believe in God. I found that in a Catholic school it was smaller classes so you knew everyone better. and the teachers seemed more approachable. Yes we did take religion but our teachers really did not try and shove the beliefs on us it was more like you need to pass to graduate, you dont need to believe in God it just helps. But that is my opinion, also i got bullied in public school and not catholic so I think that is the main reason for me
