One contains acetone and the other doesn't. Removers with acetone work extremely well and quickly, but they make your nails dry. If one has dry or brittle nails, acetone is very bad for them. General rule of thumb is that non-acetone nailpolish removers should be used for regular polish removal from nails. However, acetone nailpolish removers do an excellent job of removing the toughest kinds of polish and false nails. For example, nailpolish that contains glitter can be extremely difficult to remove, so remover with acetone is ideal in this case. Hope this helps.

acetone is used for normally applied nail polish to real nails. but if you have fake tips, use the non acetone nail polish remover on it. it wont damage the tips

Non-acetone remover is best for acrylic nails because it doesn't soften and break down the acrylic.

When i worked at a beauty salon they used acetone to get the paint off of profesionally painted nails, i think its the primary ingredient in nail varnish remover. non acentone nail varnish remover is less stronger... i think! : )
