Do you find the tight cellophane wrapping on CDs and DVDs annoying and rather a nuisance to remove?

I think they do that so shoplifters will get so annoyed and just blow off the whole stealing idea.

I think they do that so they can sell you a DVD/CD case opener on some infomercial at 3 in the morning.

that plastic annoys the living crap out of me! it takes forever to get one little piece up to get it started, and it never comes off in one piece! I drives me mad, I tell you! MAD!!!

Yes, if they wrapped food as well it would stay fresh forever because folks would starve to death before getting to eat it! ;0)

Yes I do, its made of some cut proof plastic now days. Use to when I bought a new CD I would go to my car & take my key across it & open it up to pop it in the CD player but no now I have to go hunt someone down inside with scissors or a box cutter. Very annoying.

Yes. Esp. when you want to play it in your car, and you don't have a sharp object on you.

The plastic isn't too bad for me because I just cut it along the case seams with my SA knife and it comes off. What bugs me are those break-apart-into-a-million-pieces adhesive strips that they put along the side of the case. I mean c'mon- they already have that gorilla-wrapped plastic wrap crap on the case and there's no way that's coming off without a jaws-of-life so why bother with that stupid strip?!

Not as much as I hate plastic clam shell packages. Those are a b***h. Scissors don't cut through them very well, you can't tear them, and they hurt when you get poked on those jagged little edges.
