How would you know if you were Penalty Boxed on AB? Are you still able to use AB if you are in the PB? (just curious).

You get a view of what is going on but you can not participate. No anwers, no questions, no comments.

From what I know of, once you're in the penalty box, you cannot contribute to Answerbag is any way. You can't post questions, answers, and comments. You're given a limited time to stay there.

If one day, you come to AB, and you can look , but you cant touch, its the PB blues, I know the feeling! Plus, you get an email!

When you try to log in to AB, your monitor explodes. That is why I always wear goggles when I am on.....

AB will send you an email with the subject "You've been placed in the Penalty Box" (well, at least in my case that was the subject). You can still log on to your account while you're in the Penalty Box, but you can't do anything. You can't: 1. answer questions 2. post questions 3. flag questions and answers 4. rate questions and answers 5. edit your profile 6. change your avatar and username 7. post comments

First thing if it happens when you are online at the time is you can't post or comment anymore. Then you will get an email telling you that you have been penalized and what for.

You get an e-mail notification that explain that you are in the Penalty Box and why. CLs and Staff can put you in, but only Staff can really "decide" who stays in or out. They must approve all actions by CLs--we do not have the final say.
