Do you keep your email box open so that you see incoming mail as it arrives? If not, then how often do you check your email? Could you possibly have mail waiting for you right now?

I use Thunderbird and Gmail Notifier. That way, as soon as I get new mail, Gmail will alert me. Then, I just open up Thunderbird and check it. Its alot easier for me, ;)

Hi Momma! I have an awesome browser add-on called Gmail Notifier that alerts me whenever I have new mail. That way, I don't have to have my email window open all the time but I can read my emails straight away when they arrive. Which reminds me, I know I still owe you a reply to your last email. I'm sorry!

Keep it open all the time and get a little message on the bottom right to tell me who it's from....love it!!

I have a mailbox icon that lets me know when I have mail & who it is from on my toolbar.

I do not keep my email opened all the time. But I try to check my email everyday. I am pretty sure I have mail waiting to be read, but like in the last few weeks I am so absorbed in Answerbag, that some times I don't worry about my email so much, I know I'll get to it later.

I pretty much keep my email open all the time, but I am not always at my computer and it doesn't make an announcement when mail comes in. I pretty much check for mail every time I am anywhere near any of the computers in the house (3 of them), so I guess the answer is - I check my mail way too often and would get a lot more done if I could learn to ignore it a little longer!

Not really. I use hotmail and msn messenger. I get a pop up any time I get an email.

All the world's problems to consider and you're asking about email?...J/K Yes, I have incredimail POP account for all of my email addys so that when I receive an email it tells me like every two minutes, I guess I'm lame like that. Of course, email for me, is my only link to the outside so I like to keep on top of getting stuffs from my friends and various spammers that have nothing better to do than bother me about winning a lottery in a country I have never heard of. So I respond to them asking if they had a nice day, or to send me a postcard since they seem to know everything else about me...LOL

Just my work e-mail when I am actually at work. The others I try to check once a day, but don't always get to it.

I have several e-mail accounts. The two personal ones have icons on my screen at all times, and when they blink, I look. I also check my news alert feeds frequently.

I've got the gmail notifier too, with a pop-up, so I can see if I'm working on the comp I can see if it's from I want to reply to straight away; otherwise there'll just be a lovely indigo envelope waiting for me letting me know that some gorgeous Baggers have pointed me up! Thank you Darlings!!! =D ps: Thanks for asking about me going into "retirement" - as you can see, it didn't last long! xx I've been advised to turn off the AB email alert - too tempting! You're right about it being addictive!! But I can't do that... Is there a 12-step programme..? :-)

No, I don't usually keep it open. I check it daily, but not constantly. One inbox is mostly junk (or things to do) and I haven't figured out a good way to share my other email address with AB friends without it becoming a junk haven too (unless they give me their address first).

i used to get my email on my cell immediately but now i dont have internet on my phone so when im at home i check it like every 20 minutes, but always at least once a day

OH yes It stays wide open. I want to see it in a live feed if possible. But I dont have time for messengers. I am going to check right now on my other tab.
