HELLO! IT'S YOUR PROPERTY..YOUR HOME...YOU SAY NO! You don't want it there, your sister doesn't want it there...NEITHER OF YOU has to say yes to anyone about anything you don't want in your life or on your property... If the EX in-laws don't like it..they can go suck a rock. YOU personally have the FINAL say in this matter. "Grow a pair!" <wink> Say NO, pat yourself on the back for having a spine and then give yourself a treat! manicure? massage? No one likes to be mean, but neither do you deserve to be a doormat either!

Just say NO.

Tell them no. You do not want to store the dirt bike because it is a liability. If your sister and nephews want to keep the dirt bike, then they can rent a storage facility. Just because they live in your house does not mean they have unlimited free reign to bring in whatever they want. That decision rests solely with you as the homeowner and mortgage-payer.

if they bring it there sell it.

Regardless of who is on the mortgage, since your sister doesn't want the bike, it's a non-issue from that point on. She should be responsible in handling the situation with her ex in-laws and (nicely) decline the gift of the dirt bike for her son. "Although I appreciate you purchasing a dirt bike for my son, I am not comfortable in accepting it (for whatever reason...) and therefore certainly cannot expect my sister to store it at her home. Perhaps you could look into the possibility of a storage unit that would be conveniently located to you...." Something to that effect. Just a thought!

She needs to tell her ex-in-laws, that she doesnt want the bike. End of story.

What does your written agreement with them say? If they pay rent, they are probably also entitled to "use of the property" to a limited amount. You might want to make sure there is an understanding between you and them about your rights and theirs, in writing. If she doesn't want the boy to have the bike, she should probably give it back to the x-inlaws.
