What are your thoughts about a first date being at a movie? I would think it would be a good idea since she gets to feel more comfortable around you when ur closer and get used to you. What do you think? good idea.. bad idea?

BAd idea, a first date should be in a relaxed place, but it should also be a place where the two of you could talk and get to know eachother better, a restauraunt may be okay, but I wouldn'trecommend it if you don't already know this person very well, perhaps something a little less conventional, maybe watch a movie at one of your homes or just simply hang out at a cofee shop or something.

I think a first date should be more of a place where you can talk and get to know each other. Maybe a nice, but not pricey, restaurant. Or even something like Starbucks where you can linger if you want to keep talking. I always thought a great first date would be the zoo (weather permitting), you can walk and talk, and there is plenty to spark conversations. My husband and I went to a movie on our first date (after dinner) and I swore I'd never see him again. It was awful.

I think Jenn is correct, that it's better to do an activity where you can talk, and get to know one another. Maybe a walk on the beach, or through a park. Maybe someplace like a mall where you can have a snack and a drink and people watch.

European city breaks with lots of culture, good food and good company :) or Vanishing for a couple days with the b/f to some nice accommodation and not leaving it except maybe for meals and the odd stroll together :p
