Easiest way is to go too a tax agency, one that does filing for you. They will have the resources and the time and the experience to not only track down that kind of information but also too provide you with options to pursue "fixes". Since you are married (separated by married) Taxes fall under the time you were married. You might not like paying his debt, but since you were in a partnership (marriage) you might be legally obligated to pay some (not all) of his debt. Unless you have pre-nub agreements that covered that area and absolves you from his debt. This does not mean there are no roads around, that would require an expert in the laws. Tax laws change every single year - new ones written over old ones, old ones modified or thrown out. It can be a headache and a huge mess for the lay-person.
