  • On the positive side, I would have to say quality of ingredients. However, as a pessimist, the only difference is the picture on the front and the higher cost due to advertising expenses.
  • Usually generic medicine are the real drugs similar to the brand name drugs with less preservatives. That's why doctors suggest when you are prescribed to a medicine, always are for generic. They're cheaper and the same thing. The same concept, I believe is applied to mouthwash.
  • I can't tell the difference. They both taste the same to me.
  • The difference is the label on each is different.
  • The name brand ones actually paid for the research and development needed to create their product. The generic ones just waited for the patent to expire, then copied the name brand, then paid only for a comparison study, so they are basically the same.
