My 2 & 1/2 year old sucks her thumb, but that is not my main concern. As she sucks her thumb, she rubs her nose so hard that she has a sore on it all the time. I am worried about infection. I have bandaged & covered her hands & nos

hmm.. well I have never heard of somehthing like that before.. BUt to be quite honest, toddlers will be toddlers. They like to suck their thumbs, and prehaps playing with her nose amuses her? But my best recomendation would be to take her to the doctors soon. If you are afraid about this, I think the best thing possible will eb to get proffesional help. But check to make sure if she has a fever, or any other signs that you may want to tell the doctor your concerns.

I would also suggest seeing a professional for advice. This isn't to scare but to inform, I went to school with a girl around the age of 7 and she still sucked her thumb with her finger over her nose, because she did it when young the soft cartilage in her nose bent leaving her with a dent in her nose from her finger. There maybe a way to transfer her need for comfort to another object, maybe a little stuffed toy something she can fiddle with to keep her hands busy. I wish you luck.
