  • Don't have one and don't have any intention of getting one.
  • I have one, have had one for almost a year now. I think its an amazing site and a great way to both keep in touch and to get back in touch with friends! Should everyone have one? Yes imo. But they should not be forced to have one.
  • I gotta a myspce to stay in touch with friends because everyone is going to colleges across the country and long distance charges are just too high.
  • what if one day it will be manditory? like our id? can't get on line for anything w/out it?
  • If its the same thing as MySpace then of course not. I have one and its great to stay in touch with people out of state and to blog some of my thoughts but not everyone needs one. People get along without all kinds of technology all the time. Not me, I love technology but to each his own. I dont think their life is any less full than mine. Maybe it is moreso since they are not planted in front of the computer as much as I am ;)
  • Facebook has been proved to be extremely insecure with your personal information and can leave people very open to identity theft. They have actually done a full Hour TV programme in the UK. about Facebook and its lack of security and what it does with your information
  • No thanks. Facebook is just another version of myspace-without the good groups to listen too. No thanks, I'm more than happy without the ego trip of having 900000 friends.
  • I have a account with Facebook and I block what I don't want others to see - I hope it's a safe sight - + 5
  • maybe they made some deal with facebook? iono, i really dont get the point of facebook and myspace except to keep in touch with old high school friends or people who you known for a long time but dont get the chance to talk. I dont get how people are willing to add complete strangers to their list. I've seen college students who apparently have no life or job when im doing research at the school library and i see them sitting on the computer, entering one message like "hi, whats up" and then they would actually sit there pressing the refresh button to and wait for a response.
  • I like your glasses sassywi. I have a Myspace account. Not impressed
  • i don't know what facebook is but if it wants my face to show up, no deal.
  • No thanks. I get enough spam. I don't need or want any more! In fact: the ones currently sending me spam should pay me to delete that slop! Thanks for asking your Q! I did my best to answer it. I hope the information helps. VTY, Ron Berue Yes, that is my real last name! Sources: Some personal observations and opinions. • I can see why it's a good idea. However, it's not necessary for everyone. My dad doesn't have one and he's getting by fine.
  • No, but glad I missed it. The media is telling us what we should have? How unique! I wonder how many people from both sites jump there and signed up just because they said so? Mindlessness is something I never been accused of. I wonder what their investment levels are. And anyone that thinks they need an account ought to read this… http://www.campusprogress.org/features/769/what-you-dont-know-about-facebook Pretty scary. There’s a video version that I can’t seem to find. If I find it I’ll post it back.
  • I've got one but don't live there. not much need for one really.
  • Why would anyone want to have a trillion friends that they would probably not want to meet in real life? Facebook, is just being peddled by providers because it takes the traffic out of their servers and into a more marketable environment that they can exploit, as other social networks either have low traffic or high number of spammers
