What should I use to shine up my new (old) bowling ball? It's black, has a few scrapes and scuffs. I just wanna make it pretty and have it slide right. Any suggestions?

Take it to the bowling alley and have them put it in their polishing machine. that will fix it up like new.

What I do with all my old cricket balls is I shine it up with saliva and then put vegetable oil on it and let it sit for a day before shining it up again....It really works!

I agree with Yarnlady, but if it has scuffs and scratches, a bowling ball polish machine will not remove the knicks, just shine it. If you want to remove the knicks, take it to a pro shop and get it resurfaced (slightly sanded) and then if you consistently clean it after every time you bowl with a cleaner such as Powerhouse Energizer Ball Cleaner, then it will keep it shiny.
