Sometimes if it's the type of buffet where you can't get your own plates and drinks and they have a waitress or waiter do that then yes I tip.
-
I do. I wonder why but I feel weird if I don't
-
Yes, i do.
-
I do... if there is someone taking care of my table
-
yes,$5:00 per pereson at my table.
-
Yes, how much depends on the involvement and/or attentiveness of the overseeing waitperson.
-
Yes. We tip for the service at our table, like the drinks and taking away our plates.
-
Yes. One dollar per person at the table, because they do take the used plates away, even if you get your own drinks.
-
yup yup i gave 20 bucks just cuz the lady was nice to me when she took my plate and cup
-
A dollar per person at the table. If it is just me, I'll leave $2.
-
Always. Not as much as at a regular restaurant, but I always leave a few $ for them. I wouldn't feel right not leaving anything.
-
No , all the food falls off the table.
-
yeah because they keep my drink full. and take away the dishes My whole thing with how good I tip is based on if they keep my glass full. I was server for years and never let a costumer sit without drink in their glass. They clean your table and get your drinks tip them they work hard.
-
A buck a pop.
-
If there is someone who brings the drinks to my table, and takes my empty plates then yes. There is a buffet that I go to sometimes in which the wait staff does all that themselves, so I will usually leave a couple dollars.
-
Sure I do no matter how much I scrutinize the lack of variety.:-)
-
Yes, just a bit for the bussers. I usually give a dollar per person in my party.
-
I tip a few bucks to the lady that brings drinks and plates
-
Yeah just not as much as when you are served. You know, a little for the busboys.
-
If they bring you your drinks you should give them a couple bucks.
-
If they bring drinks and clean plates I usually leave a buck or two per person in the party depending on how well they handled their job. If I do all the work myself then no, even if they have a tip jar at the cash register (I hate those things).
-
A tip is a good gesture. The bussers appreciate it as they don't make much more than min. wage.
-
In the USA, yes. Leave about two dollars per person. Elsewhere follow local custom, but generally you do not leave a tip in a buffet restaurant.
-
For the server who brings your drink order, yes. I usually do. +5
-
Yes. Servers, and indeed anyone who is in a "tipped" position gets paid "sub minimum wages"... less than minimum because it is assumed that the tips thy receive will make up the difference. Beyond that, they are taxed on a percentage of sales. IF you do not tip, they get screwed by you, then screwed by the government.
-
I do if a server comes every so often to fill up my water or soda.
-
Yes, but not as high as a full serve restaurant because I'm getting the food myself.
-
Usually $2 at a fancy buffet or $1 at Hometown Buffet.
