  • At my school, they say you get paid $66 dollars every two weeks for working in the cafeteria.
  • It depends on the position and the school district. For example a dietician (they are the person responsible for planning the menu ordering the supplies supervising the cooks and servers etc) can make as little as mid to upper 20k range annually and as high as mid to upper 30k range for an entry level job. This is a job which requires a college degree and I cannot see someone spending thousands of dollars oin a 4 year degree working for much less than that. The cafateria staff (cooks and servers) is a different story. The pay can range from as low as minimum wage per hour to as high as 13-15.00 hourly depending on the school district for an entry level position. Most School districts will give their employees the option of getting all their pay over the length of a full calander year or just the course of the shcool year. Many school districts also only hire part timers for many of the staff positions in the school cafaterias which could explain Crystal's answer about the workers in her school getting only $66.00 every 2 weeks.
  • If you don't have a title working in the cafeteria you can make anywhere from 14,492 to 15,900 a year. Most of them only work 6 hrs a day. This is good for mom's who want to contribute to the household but still be at home with there kids. That means you'll be at home before the kids get off the bus, you'll be out whenever they're out, and best of all you'll be out for the whole summer. You can also elect to have your paid disburst over a 12 month period or a 9 month period.
