Can I get my social security if I'm 62 years old and haven't worked in over 30 years?

    Well, that would depend on how much you worked when you did work, two jobs? How many hours, was it part time? It won't be as much as if you had worked straight through. Good luck to you! I do agree with the answer above to call, and find out.

    In order to collect social security you have to work
    and on your check stub where all deductions are made
    social security is one. its like a savings account and after at least 10 years you might qulify.

    Call Social Security to find out.If you worked at least ten years, you'll get something, but it won't be much.

    If it is the US you should be able to so long as you have enough points. The gap in your working shouldn't enter into it.
