I want to bum off my savings for a summer in a foreign country. Which is the best country to do that VERY cheaply? (eg. in Bogota I can rent an apartment for $10 for the entire summer...)

So you want to take advantage of another nation's ruined economy and 'bum' around. How very noble. Why not try Iraq?

If you do not speak the language of any other country, you will find it very expensive to live anywhere. When you do not understand what is being said, you can be taken advantage of. Choose a place where you will not have that problem Be very careful, no other country recognizes the rights and privileges that our American Constitution gives us, such the right to free speech, or right to be considered not guilty until convicted in a court of law. In many other countries, you can be arrested with no evidence, and then you are required to prove you are not guilty. Maybe you would be better off trying to find a nice cheap place to stay here in the US, like Louisiana, or Arkansas.
