Why do most people use asterisks(*) to use as a substitute or the word. Why not "&&&& YOU" instead of "**** YOU"

Because "****" just looks so much angrier.

I don't, if I am going to swear at someone then I use the word. Using asterisks is like polite swearing.

ANDANDANDAND YOU! sounds... awkward. Asterisks look much more appropriate. Plus, the other ones have a more, I don't know... concrete meaning used for other things already (as seen with the "&&&&" example).
