Neither. To me, it's being creepy.
-
I don't see how that is flirting.
-
No, I don't think it flirting,I think he just being friendly.
-
I don't think it's a either, but when I picture it in my head it's a little weird.

When I taught I did that. I can tell you he was just being nice to the girl. When a good teacher does that he shows you kindness. I think you have misunderstood his intentions.

It could be. I might not be. It's hard to tell without being there. Perhaps he is just trying to engage the students in the discussion of the story. Maybe he picks girls because guys don't respond well to that. It is possible that girl was not paying attention or cutting up and he is trying to let her know that he is on to her. Are the stories on topic or are they about frivolous things? Does he say it in a creepy voice? Does he ask you this question? To call it flirting with so little information would be a rush to judgment.

I would have to see exactly how he is doing it before I could say one way or the other. I mean does he act overly friendly otherwise with the girls in his classes...is he seen taking girls aside... Just to ask with a smile if she liked the story seems innocent to me.

It really neither.Seems to me that he just being kind.
