  • I think it was all at one point under the sea and it's ground up rocks. The photographs show where it goes when the wind is in the wrong direction (from my point of view). I live on the most northern island.

Heading up the escarpment, I found many pieces of red sea coral, shells imbedded in rock, and fragile purple flowers. One student lifted up a rock and found a scorpion resting during the heat of the day. Looking around, it was strange to imagine that this area was once covered by a sea.   • There must have been a body of water there long ago. The water might have evaporated leaving sand creating a desert.
