I found a hurt pigeon that was bitten by a dog or cat. It has small injuries to the wings but I don't think they're broken. I've put it in an open box with seed and water. Is there anything else I can do?

i had a dove like that and i just put him in my bathroom and he healed and learned to fly and then one day we let him outside to fly and he stayed outside till then his name was peep peep and he was a baby we taught him to fly and when he was fully recoperated we would let him outside to fly and he would come back and land on the porch and then we would put him back in our bathroom and eventually he got old and flew away and im sure he visits or maybe even lives here but he was such a good bird so i would just see if he like can recoperate in a place in your home like a bathroom or a spot that can be soiled on (cause they dont have anywhere else to go) and that they can move around in and then see if he can fly and then eventually let him go
