What is the worst thing you have ever done? Do you wish you could have taken it back or did you learn a valuable lesson from it?

broke into my parents house and stole close to ten grand. oops! (they deserved it)

The worse thing I ever did was blame my step sisters for things they couldn't control. Their dad was a psychopath & because he was ruining the lives of everyone in the house, including mine, I kind of blamed his kids for having the issues that they did. My oldest step sister had a stealing problem. She would steal from stores & from family because her dad would give her literally nothing. My grandmother had to buy them clothing! My youngest step sister would act out in stupid ways all the time because she was trying to get her dads attention, even if it was entirely negative attention, it was better than being ignored & demanded on like a slave (in her mind). I hated them for this, I hated that one stole from me & lied about it & that the other one was a continuous pain in my back. It wasn't until they all moved out, including their dad, that I realized I was being too harsh on the kids. Living with their dad caused problems for everyone...one stealing, one acting out, & mine was depression. I don't wish I could take it back though. I was harsh but if I wasn't harsh, I probably wouldn't have realized how much I judged them.
