  • I would advise you to read the patent basics. For an innovation to be patented it needs to be novel. So you need a patent search. Also you need to protect it from any public disclosure like this. I wonder if the earlier answers from someone who has a basic idea about patent basics and procedure. This surely is not a place to discuss. For disclosing and discussing you need to first have a Non-Disclsure agreement signed by the party to whom you are disclosing

  • Before you try to patent your interesting deodorant I recommend you research first to make sure there isn't anything like that already registered. You can use free sites like http://www.wikipatents.com and view and print patents in PDF format. If there isn't a beer-scented deodorant registered, then good luck with your invention!
  • You might be able to, but you have to be careful about talking about it because if too many people know what you're doing, the public knowledge will be considered "prior art" and your patent won't pass.
