  • Just like that weird feeling I get when someone enters the room and I don't know it, I can feel their presence and know their in the room. Call it a curse or a gift but at least people can't sneak up on me!
  • I'm also one of those people who can "sense" the presence of something..that's when i'm like sitting down somewhere and something is moving i can almost sense it's life force or something but when i'm more active i can't tell that someone is there..I always know when a tv is on even when it's not making noise from a channel or something... Anyway ot your problem..i have experianced something like that before a while ago I actualy kept seeing something like a zombie or something when i was little..lol..I swear it was there..but of course it wasn't really...once i stood there when i saw it and i swear i felt some presence touch me...I was freaked! When you hear it again look inside the dresser
  • Ok let's try a legitimate answer for you. But first a couple questions for clarification: 1. Are there any electronic devices in your dresser? 2. Do you wear a hearing aid or pacemaker? 3. Is there an outlet behind that dresser that might have something plugged into it? 4. Is there a room behind the wall of this dresser that has a television plugged into it? Any yes answer to the above questions could be a cause to your mysterious, but localized sound. As far as others not hearing it, your ears may be more sensitive to higher frequencies of noise. Or, my final answer, it's a mere coincidence that you notice your tinnitus only when you're near the dresser. • I get that same thing sometimes with the bookshelf in my house and I still don't know for SURE what it is. (And I'm a psychology major.) HOWEVER. Some people are physically more sensitive to certain frequencies than others. In cases like these, it isn't a mental thing at all. There could be something in your dresser - or the dresser itself - that, for whatever reason, is vibrating at a certain frequency (why? maybe the furnace in your house is vibrating the floor so imperceptably that nobody notices, for example) that only you can hear. It is quite possible.
