Which of Hitler's henchmen (Mengele, Eichmann, Goebbels, Himmler, Hess, etc.) do you think is the most evil (or whatever you would call it) and why?

In those awful war days crimes and activities were bad enough with Hitlers hencmen but when Dr Mengele arrived..it was the devil himself who experimented on children.

I think Himmler. He created and headed the SS. It was the SS that carried out the "the final solution", an outline for the systematic extermination of the jews.They ran the death camps.Picked who went to the gas chambers and who got to perform slave labor until they died of starvation or were worked to death.

I have two of them, I cannot decide between the two: First is the architect of the Final Solution itself: Himmler. Hitler was already heading down that road but Himmler was the one to actually suggest and work on the implementation of the Final Solution (extermination of the inferior "races" of the Jews and the Gypsies). A funny thing about Himmler: he was by a mass grave where Jews were being shot. He was splattered by some brains. He was so sickened by it that he almost passed out and fell into the grave. A soldier pulled him back. Too bad that he was not just allowed to fall in. Mengele is my personal most hated: the "doctor" of Auschwitz. Auschwitz was his personal playground, where he let his inner hellspawn out to play with government sanction. He got right in there and did the dirty work. His favorites were twins and Gypsies, although nobody was exempt from his "tender mercies". He also ran the "Gypsy family camp". I think that Himmler was, on the whole scale, worse than Mengele, but Mengele was, as a person, more evil.

Goebbels. His manipulative ways have helped Hitler gain the support of the German people.

I don't know if I can pick, I'm leaning toward Mengele, but I think that "Dr." Theodor Morell at least deserves an honorable mention for providing a madman with methamphetamine.

Joseph Mengele, the angel of death, killed thousands of Jews in one of the concentration camps, but he experimented on them like lab rats too.

I agree with what most people have wrote about Mengele who was an absolute beast of a man,but i would like to add another name to the list and that is one Reinhard Heydrich (the hangman of Prague),he followed Hitlers orders out to the letter and sent thousands upon thousands of Jews to the concentration camps.Heydrich was emotionless and totally void of all compassion towards his enemies,namely the Jews.What does everyone else think?

Himmler was by far the most feared and despised of Hitler's henchmen. As the architect and driving force of the final solution, Eichmann and Mengele were his pons. Certainly they, Eichmann and Mengele never had the stature nor the power of either Goebbels or Himmler. Joseph Goebbels was merely a mouth piece and towards the end of the Nazi regime had very little influence with Hitler.
