  • You can only be married to one person at a time. Once discovered, this will be grounds for a rejection of a green card. There also may be a warrant outstanding for you.
  • Simply because your spouse said she was going to file for divorce doesn't make it so. It's hihgly probable that any background check will reveal you're still married, thus making your current marriage invalid. Based on that, you will not be able to get a visa for your current wife. Take care of business. Contact your first wife or have your lawyer contact hers and get the paperwork in order to make the divorce final. Then you can proceed with your life.
  • Are you in possession of a divorce decree? What proof do you have that you have been divorced? I'm afraid you are still married to your first wife. Spouse #2 will never get a green card if immigration finds out. My husband is currently married to someone else whom he is trying to get here in the USA. I'll make sure immigration knows he is a bigamist.
