Do you follow the 'directions' for over-the-counter medication like Advil/Nyquil et al, or do you just consume whatever you think will get the job done?

i follow directions....that's a must for me when it comes to medicines...even if they're practically harmless i'm careful.

I usually follow the directions, but I might take an extra advil or something if I'm in a lot of pain.

I never take any OTC medications without my doctor's approval..I was really ill and I can no longer tolerate some medications...

Since you specifically mentioned NyQuil, I must answer truthfully. The measuring cup follows the carton to the trash. Not that I am using it to 'get high'. If I am taking it it's only because I feel that I may DIE if I do not get some rest. So I just tip the bottle and drink some. My best estimation: One bottle has about 6 'servings' in it around my house.
