Yeah -- frog legs. They tasted... fishy. And I felt horrible. :(

Octopus is definitely not the norm in Britain where I come from, but I eat it often here and I love it. I also eat puntillos, which are baby squid fried in batter - lovely!
-
I have eaten Shark Steaks. I liked them up until I was adult, now I don't like any fish.
-
I had whale steak several times in '56-'57. It was excellent but amazingly rectangular!
-
bullfrog..it was odd..sort of like little sheets of plexiglass in it.

Alligator - too fishy and chewy. Bison - excellent! Curry goat - good meat. Philippine squid - very dry and salty.
-
Buffolo burgers and other wild meats that have there own taste and are great when cooked right.
-
I ate burgers made from horse meat, they were really good. I've had haggus, not very good but made by the french so they probably screwed it up. And I've had Rocky Mountain oysters plenty of times, (Montana has the testicle festival every year.)

Rattlesnake and it taste like...chicken. It really does.

I had a couple bites of Western Diamond Back Rattlesnake one time. It tasted like salted chicken with the texture of fish. I have also eaten elk. Now that was some good steak! It tasted about the same as a good beef steak.

Kangaroo is practically normal here in Oz. I eat it a bit - very lean and tasty and even eco-friendly - we got more kangaroos than people here! Hunted emu, but didn't catch one so never got to try it.
-
I inadvertantly ate a calf brain burrito off a "roach coach" It tasted weird, and after about 4 bites I was like what the hell. My partner looked at the wrapper, not fun :(
-
Escargot (snails), I had them on a cruise and they were excellant! Not at all like I imagined they would be.Oh and no, it doesn't taste like chicken. I have also eaten Bison, also excellant. Rabbit is good but has a little bit of a wild taste to it otherwise it does taste like chicken.
