  • its mainly vendetta driven ...seem some take offense at something you said and from that point they just D/R you as soon as they see your name/avatar or they even go back through ALL your Q&A's and D/R them...this is why minus points should be scrapped to stop trolling
  • I agree with buxtonite. there are those who decide they don't like you because you're beliefs/politics/sexual orientation/race/culture...whatever....are different from theirs. so, they feel the need to go back in your history and DR anything you've asked or answered...even if it has nothing to do with why they've decided they dislike you. seems really sad and a huge waste of time and energy if you ask me.
  • You know what they say... negative attention is better than no attention. My guess is that they aren't confident enough in their own worth to contribute any other way.
  • Since people do not have to leave a reason for Down Rating I do not see that it can have any use at all except as a rather spite ridden exercise. If they gave a legitimate reason, the vendetta element would be removed and people would know why the answer was not appreciated. I have seen today a comment saying people do not leave comments because it causes points wars. Hypocritical dishonesty is in my opinion far more harmful and will drive many new people aaway. Maybe that is what some people want.
  • They're trying to work your nerves and get your attention. I don't know if they get tired of trolling when there's a response to it - if they feel like they're wasting time, they won't do it anymore.
  • Whenever it's happened to me I have thought it was because they didn't like something I have said. The worst kind of troll is one who not only goes through your previous postings scattering down-rates about like confetti, but gets his or her friends to do the same. Then you get battered with a series of minus 5s and minus 3s, and as often as not just because you were misunderstood.
