I detest firearms and have none, and have no desire to learn how to use it. I have no interest in killing my fellow man or wildlife,even in self defence.

No. Apart from the fact it would be illegal where I live, being around guns (whoever they belong to) makes me really nervous. I definetly wouldn't want one in my house.

Certainly, I believe it is a human right as well as a social imperative to own and carry firearms for self and common defense. I believe that those who fear them and refuse to own or carry, unnecessarily and unrighteously place into direct jeopardy themselves, their own loved ones as well as those around them who may have need of rescue from physical assault.

I certainly know how to use firearms and I have fired various handguns, rifles, shotguns and sub-machine guns. I have never owned a firearm and feel no need to own one, particularly bearing in mind that private gun ownership is unusual and highly regulated in my country.

I do not own a firearm (UK illegal) but I do know how to use them and was considered a marksman when I was a soldier :o)

My father has some in the house and I've been shown how to use his shot guns, but I don't have my own yet - I will be getting my own once I have my own place, gotta protect myself and chihuahua right?

Yes, because I am a firm believer in the Second Amendment. I would recommend owning some kind of concealable weapon and knowing how to use it if you live in dangerous areas, or visit them regularly. A really good one would be the recent Walther PPK's. These are small, very easy to handle, a superb safety system, and have a very small caliber (not much damage/penatration). Studies also show people with concealed weapons are less likely to be mugged than people who don't. But it's your choice.

Absolutely. I have a nice little hand-cannon for home defense. And no qualms about using it. Do I know how to use it? To quote Clint Eastwood, "I can put a round through a fleas ass at 200 meters."
