How long does it take to get answer to question that you post on here. i am new to this and dont know anything about how this site works.

Depends on the question, and who's on at that time. If someone with an answer sees it right away, it could be less than a minute. Sometimes they sit for days or months.

I have had some answered in less than a minute, and I still have one (my very first) unanswered from September 9, 2007. Like Avallach said, it mostly it depends on who is on when the question is posted and whether or not they know the answer. I have seen a ton of car questions on here that are not answered, but I can't do anything about that since I can't do much more than change my own oil. Eventually someone will find it and answer it, but it might take a while. Good luck & peace.
