What time does Thanksgiving dinner start for you? Who cooks? Is dinner at your house or somewhere else?

I'll be working again this year. I'm guessing we'll take lunch about 1 P.M. I think our boss is paying for the spread.

I'm not sure yet when it will start, but late afternoon, early evening. It will be in a restaurant near my mother's house, and the chef cooks.

Around 3-4 PM, Cooks include:My grandmother, My aunts (4-6 of them normally). Sometimes my cousin Gergia will pitch in, but not normally. A running joke in my family is that because we only have 1 female cousin in the newest generation we're going to be in need of cooks later in life if we don't marry. It's normally at my Grandmas house, if not than at my Nona's (Godmother in greek, I think I spelled it right).

Probably around 1pm this year. Doing a late lunch thing at a central-point family member's house. Everyone will bring a few dishes, but the hostess usually cooks the turkey. (I'm planning to make a chocolate toffee pie, a corn salad, brownies, and mac and cheese).

We normally have dinner at our house around 2pm. That way everyone can eat and still go visit other family and get home at a decent hour.

I am doing all the cooking at my house and it will start when the food is done. I refuse to be on a schedule as I usually start cooking the day before T'giving (desserts and such) and cook most of the day T'giving day.

About 20 minutes after the bird comes out of the fryer, whenever that is.

we have to go to two houses. we are at my sister-in-law's for lunch (as they go to her husband's family for dinner) at about noon. and then we go to my mother's house and have dinner about 5 pm.

2pm is when we sit down to dinner and it's always at my house and i do the cooking, with my daughters. this year we have a new son-in-law!
