Why do Pasters say the New Testament is for us, then they say certain New Testament scriptures are not for us?

Like what? I'm curious about what they're saying isn't for us in the New Testament.

In short, they shouldn't. Have you experienced more than one pastor say things like this? What is your denomination?

I have had Padtors from 1st Southern Baptist, and 1st Assembly of God, and other Churches, it seems if they can't explain it, or don't believe it, they just say it's not for us. I am now going to a New Testament Baptist Church. They believe if it's in the New Testament we are to do it or live it. I really like it better.

I think it's because there are some books that were written for certain audiences... for example it's said that the book Luke was written for Gentiles.... Mark for dispersed christians... etc.
