  • I'll tell you how I did it last time. I am so ashamed, that I would appreciate everyone to downrate my answer as some small punishment. I dropped off the face of the earth. Totally cowardly, "quit anwering the phone, hide in the back room when someone knocked on my door" - kind of disappeared. It has been 10 years since that happened, and I remain so ashamed of myself that I cringe when I think I see her car in town. (Of course, she probably has a different car). I should have been man enough to visit her, and to explain that we had differences that I thought were going to be too challenging to overcome. She was cute, I was not... She was smart, I was not so smart... She had a knife... I had guts (the real kind) that she would probably have eventually put the knife in. And so on. Your best bet is to just be honest with him, no matter what method you choose. The phone is probably best.
  • It depends on how long you've been dating, how serious it is, etc. If you went out on four or five dates and then are going to break it off the phone, while being a bit weasel-like, might work. If you have been hot and heavy for a while and talked wedding, etc., then youhave to do it in person or you are truly a weasel.
  • face to face and tell him u r sry
  • Call the person....say you want to meet for coffee or lunch and then talk to her/him. Don't use the phone to do it. It is nice that you want to do the correct thing. Good luck to you.
  • If you have been seeing that person for a while the most immature thing to do is break up over the phone. That make you a coward. That person has feelings and deserves to see your face when this done. Sure, it is always easier to do things over the phone but when you are breaking someones heart at least show them a little respect. If you don't have the ability to respect someone elses feelings then realize you are selfish, self centered and cruel and YOU do not deserve to be with anyone and YOU need to grow up. If you do decide to do this on the phone, I hope you meet someone that you become crazy about and it is done to you. What comes around goes around, you know.
