No, but that seems like a good idea. I usually just add whipping cream and cinnamon sprinkles.
-
No, I have never thought of it. I am wondering, now, what it is like.
-
I never hear of that but I will give it a try. Do you make you hot chocolate with milk or water?
-
butter in hot chocolate?? Never heard of it. I'll stick to my milk and cocoa recipe.
-
No, I've never heard of that, but it might be worth a try. I've used cinnamon in hot chocolate before. Pretty good, but there might be better things. A lot of people add vanilla to intensify the chocolate. Melting a peppermint star (the red and white hard candy disc, or a candy cane) in there sounds pretty good. Or a bit of rum. Or maybe some dissolved redhots. Any of this, or the standard whipped cream or marshmallows. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is trying all of these things in the same cup of hot cocoa. Gag.

No I never herd of putting butter in your hot chocolate. I will have to try it.
-
Butter in apple cider yes or hot 'buttered' rum but not hot chocolate, especially as we often add some cream to it. It's already got enough fat and creamy flavor for me.
-
No thank you. That's like putting ketchup on corn on the cob.
-
Occasionally I add some butter. It gives it a kind of a nurturing fullness. Good for cold days or an empty stomach. I would recommend an unsalted and more natural creamy butter. I prefer to add just enough that I can enjoy the changes in my hot cocoa but not enough that I can really taste the butter. About a teaspoon. Everyones marker (and butter) is a little different.

no is it customary where you live? I have to be careful with animal fat intake for training purposes.
