Why did you come on AB? And were you immediatly good at it, or did it take you a while?

I came to AB because I was looking for a site that I could ask questions to people for help. I made an account and started answering and asking. It was quite fun. I came good at it after 1 week and people started reconizing me. AHHH The good ol' days.

lol I stumbled across it looking for a few answers to questions I had. I have many questions so I guess I am good at it. That is what you meant correct?

I came here because I was pissed off by some of the people on Yahoo Answers. Well, many people here are saying that I've been doing a good job. I'm level 57 in less than a month ;-)

I was immediately good at asking questions and answering them but like all rookies it took a while until I became a seasoned vet and voilà, here I am. It took a while to learn the category system but now I am an expert at it and it feels like the brain in many ways and I love logic so much that this has become my passion.

Google brought me to the land of AB. As for being good at it? I don't know how to be "good at it" I just answer questions as honestly as possible and if opinion is requested I will say what I believe without skirting around the issue.

I came to AB because I was looking for information on natural remedies for chronic vertigo. More specifically... a friend of mine was suffering from chronice vertigo and heard that ginger was a good natural remedy. We were trying to find out how much ginger was in real ginger ale when we came across a link for this site. At first, I was horrible at it. I was taking the site too seriously. Mostly because I would get downrated for using humor and I wasn't making friends. I got irritated with trolls and some of the offensive and nonsense questions that were flooding the site at that time. I was just about ready to call it quits when I met Miss Zee. She made me smile and gave me something to look forward to everytime I logged on. So... it was the beautiful Miss Zee who changed my mind about leaving, helped me to make friends, and made me realize what AB and its community was all about. :)

I got sick of the creepy, rude assholes on Yahoo! Answers. I'm not sure that one can be "good" at AB. You just are who you are, I guess. I like it here!

I came onto Answerbag because I'm sexually attracted to internet forums. But you already knew that, didn't you Jenna? I've never really been good at it though. I handle Answerbag the same way I handle other, more....hardcore forums, and people don't really like that.

I came here looking for a specific factual answer. I think I got the hang of it pretty quickly, although I was more reserved around the first two months or so, I wasn't socializing much. Since then I think I've changed somewhat in that regard, What has remained constant is that I really try to put forward my best effort. Also I've seen changes (some small, others not so much) that have affected AB. People come and go, but I feel I have adapted pretty well to them.

I found it when I googled Mythbusters. Answered a few questions not knowing what I was getting into. As for being good at it... I'm still not!
