The brand of coffee McDonalds uses is Gavina brand. Very delicious. You can find it at gavina.com

    Caffeinated and decaffeinated.

You can also visit their official website, in order, to get the nutritional value of the coffee McDonald's serves:

    I hope this helps!

Powers of reasoning tell me that McDonald's uses Robusto beans as opposed to Arabica beans which gourmet coffee shops serve. Robusto coffee plants produce more beans and are therefore the choice of such brands as Folgiers and Maxwell House. Arabica plants produce fewer beans and are more ceceptable to disease. However, there are a plethora of differences in taste within Arabica beans due to soil, rainfall, sunlight, roasting, grind, etc.

I tried it once as that was all that was in offer at a service station. I was given a plastic container full of scolding hot brown fluid. Water scooped up out of a toilet bowl may have tasted better.

I can not believe that there is a category for McDonalds.. OMG.
The serve things not to be trusted... so swamp water, or coffee left over from other restaurants.

Horrible, and I cannot figure out what it is. Just like with Starbucks, I hate their coffee too. I drink nothing but organic coffee, and the best blends, so when I drink any commercially available coffee, I guess I am spoiled from drinking the best at home. Surely when you think fast food, you think cheap, so I suspect the coffee they use is indeed low grade cheap, so don't count on it being true premium coffee.

Aside from hot, when they didn't put the cover on tightly, my mom went to take a drink, and ended up pouring it on herself! Since she was on her way to an appointment, she had to go and shop quickly for a new blouse. A word to the wise...ALWAYS CHECK TO BE SURE YOUR LID IS ON TIGHT!

I have been going to McDonalds for many years. Their coffee was not great earlier, it sucked. They have changed the quality of their coffee & use some premium brand, which in my opinion is better than Starbucks or even Caribou. I understand "likes and dislikes" is a matter of opinion. Some people are hooked on Starbucks or Lavzza. I find McDonalds coffee to be very refreshing. Give it a try, start your day with McDonalds coffee, you will like it.

MacDonald's did serve Newman's Own. I've been buying it for years from Green
Mountain Coffee on line. I was truly hooked. Then recently it has become the
most gosh awful tasting stuff. I can't get the managers to admit the brand or
the type of coffee has changed. I thought maybe I was getting old coffee but
this week I waited for a fresh pot to brew - same horrible stuff. In a large
cup of the good coffee, it took 3-4 creamers to make it just right for me. Now
even 6 creamers doesn't make it drinkable. Obviously, they are trying to compete
with coffee shops like Starbucks. I won't drink that stuff either.

As a long-time coffee drinker, I firmly believe McDonald's serves an outstanding cup of coffee. Of course, I have mine black with no sugar so I can't compare the lattes, etc. I can hardly stand Starbucks, which is the most over-rated and over-priced brand going. I can get a huge cup of McDonald's coffee for $1.40 and it remains hot enough to drink for about an hour.

I would bet a large chunk of change that those who denegrate McDonald's coffee do so out of simple bias against the brand. If you put a cup of Starbucks and a cup on McDonald's side by side in unmarked cups, I'd bet the house that a large majority of people would prefer McDonald's.

Whatever is left over from the other fast food places is donated to McDonalds and they just reheat it and call it gourmet!

Hot but not as HOT as before the lawsuit. It was hot enough to melt the Styrofoam MacDonalds cup and leak on to my thumb even after they cooled it down.

It's also a very mediocre brand and blend.

McDonald coffee wakes you up and has great aroma and tastes good. I am comparing it with Lavazza, which I have been making my cup of coffee with. Actually, I found it to be more refreshing than Lavazza. Lavazza does have great aroma too, but does not wake you up like McDonald. I would like to know which coffee beans does McDonald use, so that I am able to buy their beans and make it at home.
