I regard Monday as the first day of the week, but my family regards Sunday as the first day. Who is right?

  • If you go with what the bible says then it depends if you are jewish or christian. Both celebrate what the bible calls the sabath or day of rest. Jews celebrate from friday night to saturday night so the first day of the week would be sunday. most christians celebrate the sabbath on sunday so monday would be the first day

    Your family is correct. That is why most english language calendars start each week with Sunday.
