Depends which god you are refering to. Some ancient gods were anthoropomorphic and human-like by nature, with the same whims and retaliatory justice as humans, and caused great fear among mortals. Even with modern Christianity and an 'all loving' god, I have known some Christians who appear to be scared of god. Mmm... however, are things we are frightened of necessarily either good or bad..?

"God" falls short of "Good" because it does not have enough "o"s. "God" is then only a mock "Good", a partial or incomplete "Good".
