Cutting out salt completely would help a lot because you wouldn't retain water. But there is salt in a lot of things you wouldn't expect so that might be difficult to do for a week.

cut back a little on what you eat from now, as in istead of having two sandwiches, have one, etc. try doing some toning situps and things from now, and just before you see them, as it will tighten your muscles, dont eat a big meal on the day. if you just stop eating your body will turn anything you have into fat stores, this is bad, so eat lightly.
