  • Too many to name, actually.
  • Yes, several.
  • Yes. It was kind of scary to hear "Girl Laying Down" by Anna Ternheim. The girl she's singing about sounds a lot like me.
  • Yes several times through life and mainly when I am feeling sad is when these songs seem to hit home the most.
  • I've never been to me Hey lady, you lady, cursing at your life You're a discontented mother and a regimented wife I've no doubt you dream about the things you'll never do But, I wish someone had talked to me Like I wanna talk to you..... Oh, I've been to Georgia and California and anywhere I could run I took the hand of a preacher man and we made love in the sun But I ran out of places and friendly faces because I had to be free I've been to paradise but I've never been to me Please lady, please lady, don't just walk away 'Cause I have this need to tell you why I'm all alone today I can see so much of me still living in your eyes Won't you share a part of a weary heart that has lived million lies.... Oh, I've been to Niece and the Isle of Greece while I've sipped champagne on a yacht I've moved like Harlow in Monte Carlo and showed 'em what I've got I've been undressed by kings and I've seen some things that a woman ain't supposed to see I've been to paradise, but I've never been to me [spoken] Hey, you know what paradise is? It's a lie, a fantasy we create about people and places as we'd like them to be But you know what truth is? It's that little baby you're holding, it's that man you fought with this morning The same one you're going to make love with tonight That's truth, that's love...... Sometimes I've been to crying for unborn children that might have made me complete But I took the sweet life, I never knew I'd be bitter from the sweet I've spent my life exploring the subtle whoring that costs too much to be free Hey lady...... I've been to paradise, (I've been to paradise) But I've never been to me (I've been to Georgia and California, and anywhere I could run) I've been to paradise, never been to me (I've been to Neice and the isle of Greece while I've sipped champagne on a yacht) I've been to paradise, never been to me (I've been to cryin' for unborn children that might have made me complete) I've been to paradise, never been to me (I've been to Georgia and California, and anywhere I could run) I've been to paradise, never been to me http://www.stlyrics.com/lyrics/mewithoutyou/iveneverbeentome.htm
  • Theres a few. 'Is there life out there' being the one that comes to mind at this moment.
  • Yes, for me that's the purpose of music to touch a chord within ourselves, whether it's a specific emotion or the whole life story. There's one song I heard last night that I just started tearing up because it's exactly how I feel and my situation. Bleh, I hate that!
  • Yeah. Mine is "Changes" by Tupac.
  • Yes, too many to mention. Several songs. It all depended upon what has or is happening in my life.
  • I feel like this when I hear "The Kill" by 30 Seconds to Mars.
  • Well not really my life story, but one I relate to is, My Own Prison by Creed.
  • I've never found one song that says it all. However, one of my mottos is: "Life Is Lyrics." Situations and daily occurances often make me burst into song (silently, if need be.)
  • 'The Highwayman' by Stevie Nicks
  • I've had songs that seem to define moments in my life, but never the whole thing. Even if it were a vague interpretation, it'd still be way too specific to be a coincidence. Actually, there is this one song...but you wouldn't get it unless you were me, because there are no words. I'm very big on music, I connect with it when I hear it, and I get the feeling of it. But there is this one song that seems to have no true feeling at all, and it just kind of jumps around from one thing to another, and I think that is a lot like me. It's Impulse by An Endless Sporadic. And with that, I upload this "video."
  • Oh yes. "River God" by Nichole Nordemann. Ignore the vid, I only posted it for the song. Here are the lyrics: Rolling River God, Little stones are smooth Only once the water passes through. So I am a stone, Rough and grainy still, Trying to reconcile this river's chill. And when I close my eyes And feel You rushing by, I know that time brings change, And change takes time. And when the sunset comes My prayer would be this one; That You might pick me up and notice that I am Just a little smoother in Your hand. Sometimes raging wild, Sometimes swollen high, Never have I known this river dry. The deepest part of You Is where I want to stay, And feel the sharpest edges wash away. And when I close my eyes And feel You rushing by, I know that time brings change, And change takes time. And when the sunset comes My prayer would be just one; That You might pick me up and notice that I am Just a little smoother in Your hand. Rolling River God, Little stones are smooth Only once the water passes through.
